What is Super Nintendo World Orlando?
Super Nintendo World Orlando is an interactive video game-themed amusement park based on the popular Nintendo franchise. The park features attractions and rides based on classic Nintendo games such as Super Mario, Donkey Kong, and the Legend of Zelda. Guests can also enjoy live entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and dining experiences at the park. The park is set to open in 2025 and will be the second Super Nintendo World park to open in the United States, alongside Super Nintendo World Hollywood in 2023.
What is the Super Nintendo World Orlando Power Up Band?
Power Up bands will soon be seen in Super Mario Land at Universal Studios Orlando! In order to play activities and collect coins and keys in Super Nintendo World, you must purchase a Power Up Band. These new and exciting bands will give guests the opportunity to enjoy a one-of-a-kind interactive feature. The Power Up Bands let you join in on virtual-reality games and physical challenges through mini-games while you’re at the park, such as Goomba Crazy Crank and Koopa Troopa POWer Punch. In addition to practical features, the Power-Up band also comes with several nostalgic touches. For example, you can hit those iconic question mark blocks to collect coins.
In Universal Studios Japan, the Super Nintendo World Power-Up band is $32. We anticipate that the same will be true of the bands sold in America. You can pick from six designs inspired by the Super Nintendo characters – Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toadstool, and Yoshi. The Power-Up band boosts your performance as you journey through the Mushroom Kingdom and is registered to your Universal Studios app so that you can monitor your progress.
What will the rides be?
The highly anticipated Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge will be the first ride in Super Nintendo World. The ride will feature augmented reality, so you can hurl virtual turtles and mushrooms at your friends as you zip around on go-karts. Other rides include Yoshi’s Adventure, in which guests team up to help Yoshi save Baby Mario, and Donkey Kong’s Mine Cart Madness roller coaster.
What will the restaurants be?
Super Nintendo World will have at least two main restaurants: Kinopio’s Cafe and Yoshi’s Snack Island. At Kinopio’s Cafe, you can get your hands on a variety of comfort foods like the Super Mushroom Pizza Bowl, Piranha Plant Caprese, and Question Block Tiramisu. Yoshi’s Snack Island will offer lighter fare, such as the Green Shell Calzone and Yoshi’s Lassi (a traditional Indian fruit drink). The Pit Stop Popcorn cart sells exotic flavors of popcorn, including Caramel Peach and Mushroom Cream.
What will the shops be?
We don’t yet know which shops will be in Super Nintendo World Orlando. However, based on the options available in Super Nintendo World Japan, we expect the 1-Up Factory will be one of the establishments. The 1-Up Factory has a wide selection of Nintendo-themed merchandise, from clothing to plush toys to figurines and much more!
What characters will be featured?
Meet and greets will be a significant part of Super Nintendo World Orlando. We know of at least four confirmed characters who will be available:
- Princess Peach
